CHC is looking for a welcoming, positive and organised person to be the point of contact for people interested in playing hockey at Chesterfield Hockey Club, as long being the main point of contact for existing members to voice concerns can be taken to committee or positives that can be taken to our Social Media and Marketing teams to share club stories with members. Alongside this, our new Player Liaisons would develop a new process to help potential members feel welcome, be informed to make the right decision about joining our club and then direct any interested parties to the correct captain, coach or session for further introduction to the club.
Responsibilities in the role would include:
- Be the main point of contact at the club for people interested in playing hockey at CHC, maintaining contact information and inboxes from a number of platforms for when new members, current members and other partners (such as media outlets) contact the club via social and email platforms.
- Assist with the club handbook, club website and GMS in readiness for the start of the season (and continually throughout the season) ensuring up-to-date information is available for people wanting to contact club officials and committee members
- Help to promote the club and its links with the media, both locally and further
- Direct new members to relevant captain/coach/session, while developing a new onboarding process for new members to feel welcome, showcasing the club ethos and to allow potential new members to feel instantly part of our club if we are the fit for them
- Assist with player registrations and player transfer requests via the England Hockey GMS
- Be a club contact to go between the club members and the committee with any issues that need raising
