Badgers - Chesterfield are once again playing in the Yorkshire "development" league. This format was started to bridge the gap between minis and senior hockey. Up to 3 adults play to support and help the younger players in a full 11aside match against a variety of teams, home and away from across Yorkshire. This is a really great opportunity for these young players to play on the full pitch and learn what hockey is all about. A number of last year's players have been promoted to senior hockey and will be playing for CHC (Mens & Womens teams) so we have some new faces joining and experiencing badgers for the first time. We aim to help the young players develop and prepare for the senior game, physically, tactically, mentally and socially! It's great fun watching how we progress through the season and I'm looking forward to seeing how the players adapt to the challenge this season - Mike Rebbetts, Badgers Manager.
